Having early in his career served as a Broward County Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Cade gained trial experience on a variety of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors and juvenile cases to second degree murder. Overview: Tyler Jaymeson Cade [aka “TJ”], graduated from Florida International University’s College of Law in 2007. Prior to attending law school, Tyler Cade was a practicing social worker, with a focus in addictions, and also worked for DCF. Tyler Cade acquired his Master in Social Work degree from Barry University, class of 2000. From FIU College of Law, Mr. Cade graduated with high honors, Magna Cum Laude, and was 4th in his law class standing. Amongst his scholastic accomplishments, Tyler Cade enjoys lifetime memberships in The National Scholars Honor Society and the Delta Epsilom Iota Honor Society. Tyler Cade served as the managing Editor of the FIU Law Review, and was also awarded the ALI-ABA Scholarship & Leadership Award during his tenure as a student. Mr. Cade is twice published: both articles written during his tenure as a law student. One article was published in the FIU Law Review (“Same-sex marriage: Religious Morality, Social Science, the Establishment Clause”. Citation: 3 FIU L. REV. 113), and the other in an international peer reviewed publication (“Is Barbados Ready for Same-Sex Marriage?: Analysis of Legal and Social Constructs”, subsequent to presentation at the 8th Annual Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies conference on “Crisis, Chaos, and Change” in the Caribbean, and published in the Journal of Social and Economic Studies, a peer reviewed journal, in volume 57, second issue, in 2008).
Tyler Cade left the Public Defender’s Office September 30, 2012 to open up the doors of private practice October 1, 2012. Mr. Cade has since branched out into a variety of civil practice areas and enjoys a successful boutique practice in Lake Worth, Florida. Notwithstanding his locale, Attorney Cade considers and has engaged in legal representation in various parts of Florida.

Tyler Jaymeson Cade established TJ Cade Law, LLC (previously Abramschmitt Law) in the summer of 2016, subsequent to transitioning FTM (female to male). Mr. Cade openly identifies as a transgender individual, and continues to be involved in and provides legal services to the LGBT community.
